In another sign of slow business decline
The Parker House has closed its business
during the lunch hour.
It was only a matter of time before their mismanagement, poor quality of food and poor customer service caught up with them.
As most restaurateurs will tell you, when a restaurant closes it doors to the breakfast crowd and then to the lunch crowd… it’s beginning of the
death spiral and the final days for a restaurant.
The Parker House business has been up for sale for some months now, at an over valued price, but
we can hope, someone will come along and rescue The Parker House and us – with a good, quality restaurant on the River.

We live on the river in Port. and we love to go to the PH because of river access and the happy hour. Food is not great but atmostpher is unbeatable. The people of that area are very lucky to have the PH open for business. We went there for New Years and I brought 10 friends, the food was not bad and service not bad either. I was a little dispointed ..no band downstairs, but had a good time anyway. I hope it stays open! The Puffin….we go right past it and won’t go back…poor food very poor service and way over priced!!!

i too love the PH but they really need to put the music back down stairs so we can come to happy hour w /friends without music blasting in our ears! for those that want to dance or listen to music, go downstairs and those of us who come to visit can do so in quiet and enjoy the beautiful scenery! Not to mention…I dont want to listen to the country karoake!! Sorry c/w people!

I think we should rename this blog “The Slow ReBirth of the Parker House”. If you haven’t been there recently, you should check it out. New ambience, new food, and best of all new prices. I think they are listening.

I am sure that they, like every other business in our local area, could use your support.

I’m giving PH a last try. Last month the item I ordered from the menu did not come as described on the menu and one of my serving pieces, the spoon, came with dried blue paint. (Ick) I want this next visit to work, Friday 5/8/09.
