I watched this last night and was disappointed that a few candidates chose not to show up. Also, very little substance to many of the responses. Lot of boiler-plate politicospeak.

I noticed Council Candidate Lou Peterson didn’t care enough to show up.

Jim Carroll sent out a mailing to a select group of people today which read the following:
“Hello, In changing Grove Airport to an FAA designation is not popular with a small but vocal group. The pilots have done more than any of these people but they only think of themselves and their interests rather than the 30,000 plus people that the Port represents. I believe it is the best way for safety and to protect it in the future. Our 97-1/2% payments from Federal and State dollars is not a tax we have to pay, but money already from ticket sales by our big airlines. If $100,000 is spent on safety and improvements, the Port’s portion is $2500. Outstanding at 2-1/2%.
What we need is your vote in the primary election. Not all we have done is correct, but it comes with the job. I’m in the primary in a District #1 and only 2 of the 4 candidates will go onto the general. Only people living in District #1 can vote in a primary but every one in Camas-Washougal District but you might have friends that do. It would be good to remind them to vote. The time is NOW to vote. This may be the most important thing you can do to keep our airport.”
Sincerely,
Jim Carroll

Do you ever use blogs for guidance on reserving hotels?
I ran across this hotel blog and wasn’t sure what to think.
Should I trust it, or do you recommend any other sites?
