    Anyone catch the last session of the Washougal City Council last Tuesday evening? Comments??

      No Anon/Briggs, I didn’t catch the last session, but I have been catching your fireworks. Do you really think that nobody would know it was you that leaked the email? Come on we may be out in the country and all but I think you are the slow one in this case.

      Just fess up and tell us all why you would pull such a stunt when you are the one screaming about mudslinging? Was that an ill-faded attempt to make Sean or Stacee look bad?

      What is the word on the Washougal mayoral candidate debate(s)? We are less than two months from the election.

        I emailed Sean Guard about this about 3 weeks ago and he stated that Stacee has not committed to anything yet and will not return emails. The League of Women voters coordinates a debate and were looking at end of September and Sean had indicated he would attend, but not sure if Stacee will. I also have not heard about any dates set and am anxious to know more. ** If I have missed something let me know**

        Vancouver had a mayoral debate last night… so we are in the midst of debate season.

          I think once the audit is concluded at city hall, the mayor make look again at a debate. I can understand why this has been put on hold.

    If there is so much money to be saved in medicare cuts, why doesn’t the congress do that now? WHy wait for the big refrom bill?

    Debates … LWV does host one but it will be around the time ballots start arriving in your mail in October. Chamber used to do one, but the last couple have been so manufactured, they did not allow time for debate … just answer some questions. Same with the last couple LWV’s. Anyone can sponsor a debate, e.g. CCIA. However, the invited participants have the final call on if they will show. Keep an eye on the candidate websites.

    On another subject, any news on how that audit is going? Newspapers are quiet, but no surprise there … white bread journalism.
